1、Raw materials: Polyester is polyester fiber, which is an important variety of synthetic fiber and the trade name of polyester fiber in China. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a fiber-forming polymer made from purified terephthalic acid (PTA) or dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethylene glycol (MEG), is spun and post-treated.

Spandex, short for polyurethane fiber, is an elastic fiber. Spandex is generally composed of multiple filaments. There are two kinds of spandex, one is the mosaic copolymer of aromatic diisocyanate and polyester segment containing hydroxyl group, and the other is the mosaic copolymer of aromatic diisocyanate and polyether segment containing hydroxyl group. Spandex fiber, elastic polyolefin fiber and elastic composite fiber are collectively called elastic fiber.

The flat, fluffy or pleated polyester yarn or fabric generated after setting can remain unchanged for a long time after repeated washing in use. High strength, good elasticity, high heat resistance and heat insulation, good thermoplasticity, poor melting resistance, good wear resistance, good light resistance, corrosion resistance and good color fastness.

Spandex is excellent in elasticity, thinner in linear density and more resistant to chemical degradation. Spandex has good acid and alkali resistance, sweat resistance, seawater resistance, dry cleaning resistance and wear resistance.

3、Application: Polyester has a wide range of uses, and is widely used to make clothes and industrial products. Flame-retardant polyester has a wide range of applications because of its permanent flame retardancy. Besides playing an irreplaceable role in industrial textiles, interior decoration of buildings and interior decoration of vehicles, it also plays a lot of roles in the field of protective clothing.

Spandex is widely used in underwear, women's underwear, casual wear, sportswear, socks, pantyhose, bandages and other textile fields, medical fields and so on. Spandex is a high elastic fiber necessary for pursuing dynamic and convenient high-performance clothing. Spandex can be stretched 5-7 times than the original state, so it is comfortable to wear, soft to the touch, and does not wrinkle, and can always maintain the original contour.

Generally, spandex is not used alone, but is mixed into the fabric in a small amount. This kind of fiber has both rubber properties and fiber properties, and is mostly used in core-spun yarn with spandex as the core yarn, which is called elastic core-spun yarn. The main characteristics of this yarn are: first, it can obtain good hand feel and appearance, and the outer fiber composed of natural fibers has good hygroscopicity; Secondly, only 1-10% spandex filament can be used to produce high-quality elastic yarn; Thirdly, the elastic percentage can be controlled from 10% to 20%, and different elastic values can be selected according to the purpose of the product.
